If you don't know how to download then go here for instructions (Link is also here in the Official Soundtrack Section) Thread 119192ĭear Mario is an 8-Bit love letter to the music of Koji Kondo. To add to the fun, this album was made entirely with SNES samples! Above all, this album's aim is to put a smile on your face. This album aims to capture the unabashedly cute and fun spirit of Kirby music (particularly Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby Super Star). "Another Day in Dream Land" is an original album by Karl Brueggemann, which serves as a musical tribute to the work of Jun Ishikawa in the beloved Kirby series.

I love the varied artists and style, ranging from enka to light jazz.Support the artist(s) here - Dear Mario ( ) I think "Katamari Damashii" is a fantastic game and I felt it was the catchy music that helped make it even better. 7 Jiro UNITED KINGDOM Great game, great music 5 So overall, though I have very few problems with the quality of this album and the length makes it relatively good value (it's over 70 minutes in total and most of the vocal songs are over 5 minutes) it's all been done 10 years before by bands like Cibo Matto and Pizzicato Five and so existing fans of Shibuya-kei and swing will find little very new for them here. On the other hand, the songs with synthesised vocals can get somewhat annoying. Favourites are LONELY ROLLING STAR (electro-pop with amusingly random lyrics) and the really quite magical instrumentals, reminiscent of (and as good as) Takako Minekawa. There's a song here for every decade since the 50s but they somehow all fall under the Shibuya-kei umbrella. This covers the full extent of the style from the beats and bizarre horn solo in 'katamari mambo' which are just as good as Cibo Matto, an epic strings & acoustic guitar song suspiciously similar to the Billy Hatcher theme, to one in English by a Frank Sinatra sound-a-like, the glam-rockish 'Ai no Katamari' and much else in between. It would make a fabulous edition to your collection! 9 Xochiquetzal Barros UNITED STATES Good but stereotypical Shibuya-kei 4 The soundtrack is a must have for anyone who loves to collect videogame soundtracks. It brings all kinds of music genres to the table: Bossa Nova, French Pop, Trance, JPOP, the works. Namco has done a superb job in making sure that the sound is high quality. The moment when I caught myself humming one of the tunes from this quirky innovative videogame Katamary Damacy, I knew that I must have the soundtrack. I would suggest it, but it could have used some improvement. Sure the cd has a song for everyone, none of the song paticuarly seem to do it for me. While I liked the album, I didn't think of it as quite great. Any Japanese music I need to order now will definitely come from this site. Shipping from cdjapan was really fast to Canada with the untracked airmail option, and the package was super securely wrapped. I encourage you to have fun with it and have no shame in bursting out when the signature chorus comes up: Na NAAAAA Na Na Na Na Naaa Naaa Naaa Na Katamari Damashii! This music is great to work to, or listen to when you're trying to cheer yourself up or tackle of difficult project. The lyrics are charming, the rhythms are upbeat, and the subject matter hilarious and endearing. From the moment the loading screen comes up, there's a lovely catchy male melody that will become perhaps the main tune you will remember from the game and it's awfully fun to sing! The songs on this album are a combination of jazz, hip hop, electronic, and ballad it is really quite a unique blend.

Part of what makes the game Katamari Damacy so excellent is the music that accompanies it.
